      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>Hi, I'm Kate DeWitt, a designer with twenty years of experience working at the intersection of visual craft, content strategy, and design systems. I've spent most of my career inside cultural institutions and mission-driven organizations where the design challenge is often the same: how to make complex and unfamiliar information feel navigable. I work at the strategy end of design: defining the problem, aligning stakeholders, and building the structural foundation for complex projects to succeed. I hold an MFA from Yale University and have led design at Bard Graduate Center and WildCraft Studio School. When I'm not at my desk, I’m happiest in the ocean or making something with my hands. Say hi!</image:caption>
